Director of Corporate Communications
Greg Thompson is director of corporate communications and public affairs for Chick-fil-A, Inc. Prior to joining Chick-fil-A, Greg spent more than 20 years in various global communications management roles for IBM in the U.S. and Asia. He joined IBM after a career as a photographer, sports writer, political writer, editor and bureau chief for three newspapers and The Associated Press. After 10 years of rejecting God and searching the world for contentment, Greg came to know and follow Jesus Christ in 1983. Since then, he has been involved in mission projects and ministry in the U.S., Mexico, Japan, Cambodia, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Cuba. Sports ministry has been a focus of his since he first became a board member and volunteer for FCA in Atlanta in 1990. He is a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church and serves on boards and advisory panels for SCORE International, FCA Japan, CRASH Japan and Wheaton College. He was introduced to SCORE because his then teen-aged son, Will, repeatedly took SCORE baseball trips to the Dominican Republic. He and his wife, Mary Belle, have two sons: Will, who is now a FCA missionary to Japan, and Andrew, who is a senior at Wheaton College. They reside in Marietta, Georgia.
