Lefty Glascock

DeWayne (Lefty) Attended Tennessee Temple College where he majored in Bible. He also played basketball and baseball. He met his wife, Teresa (a native of Chattanooga, an education graduate of TTU), at Temple and they were married in 1971.

After college, Lefty played one season, class A, with the Milwaukee Brewers chain before coming back to Temple to coach baseball and assist Ron Bishop in basketball for ten years. Ron and Lefty would later be the first to be honored in Temple’s Coaches Hall of Fame along with Coach Bruce Foster, Lefty’s coach in college. Lefty is one of the founding board members of SCORE International and has been on several mission trips.

Lefty and Teresa have 2 daughters, April Kyle and Kelley Robison (husbands, Heath & Steve) who have blessed them with five grandchildren—Daniel, Hannah, Parker, Klaire and Kate. Lefty and Teresa are members of Calvary Baptist Church of Red Bank, Tennessee (Pastor Dwight Martin), where they are actively involved.
