Ron Bishop was born in Warne Robins, GA in 1945. He grew up in Blacksburg, SC. He was a star athlete at Blacksburg High School, where he graduated in 1963.
At the age of 9, Ron accepted Jesus as his savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church. During his senior year, Ron went on a mission trip to Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico with 40 preachers, including Jerry Falwell. During that trip, God called Ron to preach. At the age of 21, he was ordained into the ministry by the church.
Ron attended Tennessee Temple College. At TTC, he played basketball. He graduated in 1967 with a B.A. Degree. At TTC, he met Pat Reagan from Atlanta. Pat and Ron married in August, 1967. Ron continued his studies and received a Masters of Divinity degree from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary. Pat graduated from TTC with a B.S. degree and received a Masters of Education from UT Chattanooga.
In 1972-75, Ron served as Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Hartselle, Alabama. In 1975, Ron and Pat returned to Chattanooga where Ron became Athletic Director and head basketball coach at TTU. Pat served as professor in the Physical Education department.
Ron was a successful basketball coach, leading his team to 4 national championships. He was twice named “National Coach of the Year.” He was also inducted into 5 “Halls of Fame.”
In 1984, Ron and Pat founded SCORE International, a missions organization whose purpose was to expose and engage youth on “short-term mission trips.” They founded this ministry in the basement of their home. For 26 years, Ron and Pat saw God grow this ministry into the worldwide organization with more than 200 missionaries and employees. During that time, more than 100,000 Americans travelled with SCORE to more than 20 countries and shared the Gospel with millions of people.
Today, SCORE has two mission training centers, a GAP program, dental/medical clinic, orphanages, and homes for girls and boys, camps, athletic facilities, and a home for rescued women. This ministry has millions of dollars in assets and has operated debt free.
In 2011, Ron installed his chosen successor, John Zeller as Executive Director. This ministry continues to thrive under his leadership.
Ron passed away on June 16, 2014 at the age of 68. He is survived by wife, Pat Bishop, and two daughters; Robyn Herring, Rhonda Swaney, and five grandchildren,
Trey and Terri both grew up in Huntington, West Virginia. Trey has an undergrad degree from Marshall University and earned his masters’ degree at Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Terri has an undergrad degree from West Virginia State University in Charleston, West Virginia, and a graduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Their sending church is Lewis Memorial Baptist Church of Huntington, where Dr. David Lemming is the senior pastor. They have two sons, Evan and Carson.
Trey and Terri have been missionaries with SCORE since March 2001. After both being exposed to missions during their teenage years, they went on short-term trips with SCORE while in college. During those trips, God impressed upon their hearts the need for more Christians to take a stand and do more for Him in the field of missions. Trey and Terri have an intense burden to expose more people to this need for missions. Their vision is specifically to expose youth to the foreign mission field and let God impact their hearts and lives to become more involved.
Trey currently serves as the Vice President of Ministries. He works in the home office of SCORE where he helps groups and leaders to plan and organize their trips. The Baileys also travel to many conferences and seminars across the USA to represent SCORE.

Yvonne feels so blessed to be able to help facilitate the work of this ministry and loves hearing the reports of groups who have returned from the field.
