Josiah’s House Dedication, July 25th
“What a great day in the Dominican Republic”, reports Ron Bishop, founder of SCORE International after the dedication ceremony on Wednesday. A large turnout included Christian recording artist, Jeremy Camp who sang at the event along side Pastor Steve and Sarah Berger and their family from Grace Chapel in Nashville TN. Both Ron Bishop and John Zeller, Executive Director of SCORE International, were part of the ceremony as they dedicated the boy’s home to the Lord.
Josiah’s House is named after Pastor Steve’s son who unexpectedly went to Heaven on August 14, 2009. Located in San Pedro de Macoris, Josiah’s House will be a complex of four homes housing a total of 32 boys, upon completion. In each home eight boys and a married couple (house parents) live and grow in a family setting. Our mission is to give each child an education, Biblical guidance, life skills and daily affirmation of God’s love for them. Josiah’s House is the extended heartbeat of Grace Chapel in Tennessee.
We are grateful for Bob and Diane Spencer who direct the Josiah’s House ministry in the Dominican Republic.
